A certified, professional Occupational Coordinator will be at your service to meet your employment-related needs. Occupational Coordination Services will help you open the doors to community employment.
Ergon's Occupational Coordination Service will work with you one-on-one to help you identify and link with services and community resources that enable you to be employed and stay employed.

ASSESSMENT & PLANNING

Gather information and history on a person's disability, school, and work life along with pertinent detail of previous services received and personal/family details to consider.

|
Identify needs - Job readiness. Research, linkage, and facilitation of specific services to address needs (i.e. various therapies and rehabilitation services to increase chances of success in work life). |

Counsel individuals and interested team members on specific job information and real world expectations for community employment goals (presenting themselves to others, understanding employer procedures, asking for help and learning to value their job).

ARRANGING & COORDINATING

Communication between families, home staff, employer, treatment specialists, case managers, service providers and trainers. Keep key players informed. Setting-up meetings. Facilitate connections and coordinate transportation. |

Learn and help the individual/team understand area resources and criteria for receiving services.

Develop and maintain relationships with agencies and staff to keep services accessible.

Monitor that services are positive and meet the individual's needs. | JOB MAINTENANCE

Education of employers and trainers on both the individual and their disability factors as they relate to job performance.

Monitor job progress through observation and discussions with family, service providers, and staff at job site.

Help the individual understand interactions and relationships at work.

Help the individual understand employee benefits they may qualify for or receive.

Provide intervention and vocational guidance to assist the individual in resolving problems on the job.

Research and help with benefits, such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and Unemployment Compensation.
