This is a one-on-one support service for an individual who is just starting a job or is struggling on a job. The job coach can help at the job site or can make arrangements to meet outside of work. An Ergon Employment Solutions job coach will evaluate the work site and the individual's work tasks. If a job site needs to be modified to meet the individual's needs, the job coach will work with the employer to make these modifications.

Job Coaching can help with learning a new task, figuring out how to act appropriately at work, strategies for getting along with co-workers and supervisors, working out scheduling and transportation problems, being an advocate with the employer, and getting used to the demands of work. When the consumer nears a production rate and quality rate that is satisfactory to the employer, and the consumer has integrated into the work environment, the job coach will fade from the job site .

n	Adjusting work-related behavior
n	Learning style
n	Job task modification
n	Therapeutic, systematic community-based job training

A professional Ergon job coach will:

n	Work side-by-side with you at your job.
n	Help you learn job requirements and responsibilities.
n	Help you learn specific job skills and job safety.
n	Help you perform at the level expected by your new employer.
n	Identify and creatively resolve problems.
n	Help you to feel comfortable with your co-workers.
n	Encourage self-advocacy.
n	Help you be successful on the job.

Job Coaching helps to provide an atmosphere that promotes skills, safety, confidence, and problem-solving abilities in the workplace. A Job Coach works with the individual and the employer to satisfy both of their needs.
